The story of SEWA's salt farmers - a feminist just transition for off-grid agricultural communities. 70% of India's industrialised salt comes from a remote desert in Gujarat, where production has been powered by diesel for generations. But the introduction of solar power has improved not only yields and India's energy mix, but the role and standing of women salt farmers in their families and communities.
